Friendshipisapreciousbondthatisformedbetweentwopeoplewhosharecommoninterests,goals,andexperiences.Itisarelationshipthatisbuiltontrust,love,andmutualrespect.MystoryisaboutthedeepbondoffriendshipthatIsharewithoneofmyclassmates.Wehavebeenbestfriendssinceelementaryschool,andourfriendshiphasonlygrownstrongerovertheyears.Inthisstory,Iwillsharewithyousomeofthemostmemorablemomentsthatwehavesharedtogether,andhowourfriendshiphasstoodthetestoftime.
1.ItwasawarmsummerdaywhenIfirstmetmybestfriend,Lily.Wewerebothinthesameclassandhadjuststartedthefirstgrade.IstillrememberthejoyandexcitementthatIfeltwhenshewalkedintotheclassroom.Therewassomethingabouthersmilethatjustlituptheroom.
2.Aswestartedtospendmoretimetogether,werealizedthatwehadalotincommon.Webothlovedplayingsports,readingbooks,andwatchingmovies.Itwaslikeweweretheperfectmatchforeachother.
3.Duringrecess,wewouldalwaysplaytogether,eitherontheswingsoronthemonkeybars.Sometimeswewouldevenraceeachotheraroundtheplayground,laughingandjokingthewholetime.
4.Oneday,duringlunchtime,Lilysharedhersandwichwithme.Ihadforgottentobringmyownlunchthatday,andshedidn'thesitatetooffermehers.Itwassuchasmallgesture,butitmademefeelsogratefulandappreciated.
5.Fromthatdayon,webecameinseparable.Wedideverythingtogether,fromstudyingforteststogoingonfamilyvacations.
6.Aswegrewolder,ourinterestsstartedtodivergeabit.Ibecamemoreinterestedinmusic,whileLilybecamemoreinterestedinart.However,thisdidn'taffectourfriendshipatall.Infact,itonlymadeitstronger.
7.Wewouldoftenshareourpassionswitheachother,attendingeachother'sconcertsandartexhibitions.Wewerealwaystheretosupporteachother,nomatterwhat.
8.Whenwereachedhighschool,westartedtofacenewchallenges.Wehadmoreresponsibilitiesandmorepressuretosucceedacademically.However,wealwayshadeachother'sbacks.
9.Wheneveroneofuswasfeelingstressedoutoroverwhelmed,theotherwouldofferwordsofencouragementandsupport.Itwaslikewewereeachother'spersonalcheerleaders.
10.Duringoursenioryearofhighschool,webothappliedtothesamecollege.Weweresoexcitedwhenwefoundoutthatwehadbothbeenaccepted.
11.Collegewasanewadventureforus,andwewerebotheagertomakenewfriendsandexplorenewopportunities.However,weneverforgotaboutourfriendshipandmadesuretokeepintouchwitheachother.
12.Wewouldcalleachothereveryweek,sharingstoriesaboutourclasses,newfriends,andexperiences.Weevenplannedafewtripstogetherduringourbreaksfromschool.
13.Afterwegraduatedfromcollege,webothfoundjobsindifferentcities.Itwashardbeingapartfromeachother,butwestillmanagedtostayintouch.
14.Wewouldsendeachothercarepackages,postcards,andletters.Itwaslikeourfriendshipwasanunbreakablebondthatcouldwithstandanydistance.
15.Afewyearslater,Lilygotengagedandaskedmetobehermaidofhonor.Iwasoverjoyedandcouldn'twaittohelpherplanherwedding.
16.Itwassuchaspecialday,andIfelthonoredtobebyhersideasshesaidhervowstotheloveofherlife.
17.Afterthewedding,webothrealizedhowmuchwehadgrownovertheyears.Wehadgonefrombeingtwolittlegirlswholovedplayingontheplaygroundtotwostrong,independentwomenwhowerereadytotakeontheworld.
18.Eventhoughwearebothlivingindifferentcitiesnow,westillmaketimeforeachother.Weplantripstogetherandmakesuretocalleachothereveryweek.
19.Ourfriendshiphasbeenthroughsomuchovertheyears,butithasonlygrownstrongerwitheachpassingday.Wehavesharedsomanymemoriesandexperiencestogether,andIknowthatwewillcontinuetodosoformanyyearstocome.
20.Throughalloftheupsanddownsoflife,Ihavecometorealizethattruefriendshipisarareandpreciousthing.Itisabondthatcanneverbebroken,nomatterwhatlifethrowsourway.
21.IamsogratefulforthedeepbondoffriendshipthatIsharewithLily.Shehasbeenthereformethroughthickandthin,andIknowthatIcanalwayscountonhertobebymyside.
22.Tome,friendshipisnotjustabouthavingsomeonetohangoutwithorsharecommoninterestswith.Itisabouthavingsomeonewhotrulycaresaboutyou,whowillbethereforyounomatterwhat,andwhowillalwayshaveyourback.AndthatisexactlywhatmyfriendshipwithLilyrepresents.
